Taxi from Travelodge Aldershot | 01252 651669

Taxi from Travelodge in Aldershot | 01252 651669

Dinez Taxis? CALL 01252 651669.  Today is a bank holiday, March 29, 2016, at around 1100 in the morning, we received a call from a person staying in Travelodge, Aldershot, her taxi requirements includes:

  • a saloon car because of mobility issues
  • they also have two luggages
  • the journey is very short though.

I told the lady that we will be able to provide her a transfer regardless of the distance and that we will send a very nice executive Mercedes because it's Easter! As the lady sounds desperate, we also mentioned that we'll be treating them like a King and  Queen and she doesn't need to worry at all.

It seems, she was worried about us not accepting the job and that we don't have a saloon car, majority of the taxi vehicles in Aldershot are vans like Peugeot E7 or the traditional black cabs.   We mentioned that we'll be arriving in around five to seven minutes, when the taxi driver was approaching Travelodge, he immediately noticed the passengers standing with their two luggages on the ground.  The driver, while pulling over, opened the boot of the car using the button on the door.

The driver greeted the couple with a beaming smile saying 'Good Morning Sir and Ma'am, let me help you with your luggages'.  The gentleman handed over the first of the two luggages and the driver carefully placed it in the boot saying 'Oh! this luggage is very light!'. The lady requested if she could sit in front and the driver replied 'Certainly Ma'am, any request from clients are accommodated, we want our clients to be comfortable'.

Before pulling out, the driver asked the passengers whether they have plenty of legroom and that they give the driver a signal once they are ready.  The journey was completed in less than a minute!

The driver was requested to pull over in between two vehicles and the driver decided to do a parallel parking so that other service users could pass through.  He then opened the doors and took out the luggages and transfer them to the clients' car.  A business card was given to the client who was delighted of the service.  The clients were happy with the service and asked the driver if that was the shortest job he had ever driven,  he replied with a smile and said 'Yes Ma'am'.  She mentioned that they are constantly visiting their son who lives in the area and that they will be referring our services to friends and relatives as well!

Lessons:
Answer the call promptly, speak in a clear welcoming voice and genuinely assist your clients.  For the drivers, do not be choosy to jobs, short or long runs, as long as your objective is to provide the best customer experience, you will feel good.  Taxi fares matters as we work for the money but having a positive attitude towards work will always have rewards.
